Apologies were received from Dr. Channon,
Sir Herbert Eason, and Dr. Venn who were unable to be present.
In the anticipated
absence abroad of Mr.Cox,
Dr. Priestley took the Chair.
The Chairman welcomed the two new members,
Sir Humphrey Prideaux-Brune and Dr. Kauntze.
The Minutes of the first meeting were
confirmed.
It was explained that in addition to the
Minutes a fuller Record had also been circulated
as there had been a months' interval since the
first meeting, but that only the short form of
minutes to which the Committee had agreed were
likely to be available in regard to subsequent
meetings. Subject to the substitution of
"1937" for "1939" in paragraph 5 of the Record
and the omission of the words "an extremely" and
"but it was.
